oh friday! tgif!! for real! these french classes for 4 hours a dat are killing me! after class we decided to go home and look around there for places to eat…bad idea considering all the cheap places to eat are around our classroom…i ended up dropping 10 € for lunch. not cool. but, we made it through our first week so we decided to celebrate with a patisserie (pastry). i got a pain du chocolat which is basically just a croissant with chocolate. it was pretty good!! then we decided to go to the opera house and check that out. tours were closed by the time we got there, but it is beautiful. the opera garnier is where the phantom of the opera is set and where some of the movie was filmed! hopefully we will get tickets to go see a ballet later in the month!!! hopefully!!! we then looked around at some shops close to the opera garnier (happening part of town fyi) and found this great little furniture store with really unique things!! back home, we had dinner, quiche, squash casserole or something, and got ready go to out. we met up with some baylor people and just walked around near the arc de triomph. so fun!! we got home pretty late, but getting to know everyone better was great!
